Beach, Boogie & BBQ
September 1 & 2
The Market Common is the place to go for some tasty BBQ Labor Day weekend. Not only is there a Wing Competition, but the official Kansas City Barbecue Society BBQ Competition is going down that weekend with over 25 teams of pit masters battling it out over the grill. With two days full of barbecue sampling, a beer garden, live music, a car show and a cornhole competition – this is definitely one festival that you won’t leave hungry!
September 1 – 3
This three day festival, held at Broadway at the Beach, kicks off with a moonshine mixology event where guests will sample desserts and spirits while area bartenders compete to have their cocktail featured as the official drink of Coastal Uncorked. Other events include craft beer and wine tastings from around the country. The weekend will be full of live music, sipping and sampling!
Myrtle Beach Wine Festival
The Market Common will host the 7th Annual Myrtle Beach Wine Festival. There will be a variety of vendors and plenty of live entertainment as you taste and sample a variety of over 50 wines from around the world!
Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival
September 22 – 24
Head over to Huntington State Park for the 42nd Annual Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival. This outdoor event features the work of over 100 artisans displayed against the beautiful, natural background of the park. As you explore the exhibits of fine arts and various crafts, there will be live musical entertainment and local food vendors.
September 28 – October 1
Get a taste of the Greek culture at the 25th Annual Greek Festival held at St. John’s Greek Church. There will be tons of traditional Greek food to try including spanikopita, gyros, baklava and more. And you can even sample authentic Greek wine and beer! With inflatables, live entertainment, craft vendors – this is an event that will be fun for the whole family!
Irish Italian Festival
No it’s not St. Patrick’s Day, but you’ll be able to taste plenty of Irish cuisine and beer at the 13th Annual Irish Italian Festival. The event the will be taking place on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach and will offer plenty of food vendors, arts and craft tents, a children’s area with magicians, balloon animals, and inflatables. There will be two stages set up along Main Street with live music playing all festival long.
Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival
October 6 & 7
We love seafood in Myrtle Beach and last year’s Inaugural Seafood Festival was such a success, they’re having another festival to celebrate the local cuisine! The Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival will be held right on Ocean Boulevard so you can feel the ocean breeze while you sample local, fresh seafood from area restaurants. There will be a beer and wine garden, live music, activities for the kids – and even a cornhole tournament!
ShrimpFest in Little River
Take a short drive up the road to the historic waterfront of Little River for the 13th Annual Little River ShrimpFest. This festival will have fresh, local seafood as well as art and craft vendors, two stages of live music, and a kid’s area with face painting, stilt walkers, and more!
October 13 & 14
Plenty of Oktoberfest beer will be flowing at the 9th Annual Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest at the Market Common. There will be kid’s activities, food vendors, a pumpkin patch and more. Bring the whole family and get a taste of the season!
