April Events in Myrtle Beach

Warm weather has finally arrived in Myrtle Beach and there are plenty of outdoor activities and food festivals to enjoy while you’re visiting with Brittain Resorts & Hotels during the month of April!

April 1: Easter Buffet at the Pavillion Restaurant
Location: Brookgreen Gardens
Come celebrate both Easter and the arrival of spring at the Brookgreen Gardens’ Pavilion Restaurant. Seating is available from 10:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. with a reservation. During your meal, you can dine on tasty items such as honey glazed country ham, low country stuffing, glazed carrots, carrot cake, peach cobbler, and more!

April 7: MarshWalk Masters
Location: MarshWalk, Murrells Inlet
Shoot for par as you take on the MarshWalk Masters! Each restaurant in the area will feature a golf hole. The player with the lowest score will win. As you work your way through the impromptu golf course, you can enjoy drinks and appetizers. The Masters will also being playing live if you need any motivation to hit your next shot. An $800 cash prize is up for grabs so make sure to work on your putt!

April 9: Monday After the Masters
Location: Barefoot Resort and Golf – Dye Course
Founded by Hootie and the Blowfish, this celebrity pro-am tournament is one of the largest in the nation and helps to raise money for Hootie and the Blowfish Foundation as well as the SC Junior Golf program. The tournament features celebrities ranging from actors to athletes as well as world-renowned golfers – all enjoying a little competition for a good cause. The event concludes Monday night with an epic concert put on by Hootie & the Blowfish at the House of Blues.

April 7-8: Art in the Park
Location: Valor Park, The Market Common
The Waccamaw Arts and Craft Guild will be hosting Art in the Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Valor Park. Over 60 artists will be present showcasing their work. Guests can shop for art ranging from paintings, woodworking, jewelry, fabric, glass, and more! Whether you’re an art enthusiast or not, you’ll enjoy browsing through all these handmade creations.

April 17-21: Myrtle Beach International Film Festival
Location: Grand 14 Cinema, The Market Common
Come out to the Market Common and enjoy screenings of more than sixty features, documentaries, and shorts. While the films will be screened at the theatre, restaurants and stores located in the Market Common will be taking part in hosting activities ranging from media events to parties.

April 20-22: Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival
Location: Downtown Myrtle Beach
Try a little bit of all the coast has to offer at the annual Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival! Besides lots of delicious food, the event features live music, a beer garden, craft vendors, and children’s activities. You can expect three days of food and fun by the ocean!

April 20-29: Horry County Fair
Location: Myrtle Beach SpeedWay
The third annual Horry County Fair kicks off on April 20th and you can enjoy 10 days of fair fun! You can satisfy your craving for a tasty funnel cake or make sure to grab the unlimited rides wristband so you can enjoy every twist and turn! Along with tasty fair food and exciting rides, there will also be a petting zoo and live music daily.

April 20-29: SOS Spring Safari
Location: North Myrtle Beach
Get ready for a 10 days filled with fun, music and dancing during the SOS Spring Safari. Each year, this spring shagging event hosted by the SOS brings in thousands of shaggers from all along the east coast. There will be live music and drink specials at bars located all along Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. Make sure to pack your shagging shoes!

April 21: 10th Anniversary of the Market Common
Location: The Market Common
There will be a fun day of full festivities honoring one decade of The Market Common! Grab a group of friends or bring the whole family out to enjoy musicians, face painting, bouncy houses, and balloon artists. While you celebrate, you can also catch a preview of the annual Farmers Market held in the Market Common. And to top off the celebration, guests can enjoy a tasty slice of cake!

April 21: Taste of the Market Common
Location: The Market Common
For all you foodies, the Taste of the Market Common is the place you’ll want to be this April! From 11 am to 4 pm, you can browse around the restaurant district and sample tasty appetizers, entrees and desserts. Food tickets can be purchased in front of Grand 14 Cinema and samples range from 1-5 tickets.

April 28: Dragon Boat Race
Location: The Market Common
Hosted by Ground Zero, the Dragon boat festival is a fun event for a good cause! Watch as dragon boats filled with twenty paddlers and one drummer paddle as fast as they can, competing with other boats to see who finishes the race in the fastest time! This event takes place from 8 am to 5 pm and helps raise funds for Ground Zero, a non-profit committed to making a positive impact on the lives of local teenagers.

April 28-29: Wings Over Myrtle Beach Air Show
Location: Myrtle Beach International Airport
After more than a decade, the Blue Angels are flying into Myrtle Beach! The Wings Over Myrtle Beach Air Show this year will feature the USN Blue Angels Jet Demonstration Squadron, USAF F-16 Viper Demo Team and GEICO Skytypers Airshow Team. Make sure to bring the whole family out for a day of excitement as you enjoy these performers take to the sky!
