While Myrtle Beach is known for its miles of pristine beaches, its award winning golf courses, oceanfront dining and endless entertainment – it’s also known for shopping. If one of your highlights of vacationing in Myrtle Beach is shopping, here are some spots you must check out that are new for the 2018 season:
You may have noticed a lot of construction going on around Barefoot Landing as crews have been busy updating this outdoor shopping gem. Located right on the water, Barefoot Landing is a quaint outdoor shopping village. They’re welcoming a few new merchants, along with two restaurants – LuLu’s and Taco Mundo Kitchen y Cantina, this year. For all those dog loves out there, you’ll want to check out Faux Paws, a store dedicated to all things dogs. From accessories to use for your pup to t-shirts and bumper stickers to showcase your furry friend – they’ve got it all! If you’re on the hunt for a local souvenir, stop in Lo-Kuhl. From southern items like jams, jellies and jars of pickled okra to beautiful paintings of beach sunsets, this little shop offers a variety of items from artisans all over the Carolinas. No one likes a glass that sweats, so if you’re in search of a new Tervis tumbler or Yeti to keep that beach drink ice cold, look no further than MyCup. Load up on your favorite outdoor sporting brands like Salt Life, Patagonia and Guy Harvey when you stop in Pure Lure. And another new spot, Southern Edge Knife Works, carries all you need to sharpen your culinary skills and stock your kitchen – such as knives, kitchen cutlery and other kitchen accessories.
And that’s not all! Be on the lookout for these merchants that will be opening their doors soon: Kentucky Mist Distillery, Sea & Sand Jewelry, and Savannah Bee Company.
Broadway at the Beach
Another popular outdoor shopping center is Broadway at the Beach, located in the heart of Myrtle Beach. With a few renovations taking place during 2017, they’ve welcomed a few new tenants in 2018. You don’t have to travel all the way up to Kentucky to find some authentic bourbon. Kentucky Mist Distillery recently opened in the the New England Fishing Village West area of Broadway and features moonshine alone with other tasty spirits made using whole fruit. Make sure to stop in for some samples and to pick up a bottle for a souvenir. For a tasty treat, swing by Sweet South Popcorn Company, a fun new specialty shop that offers a wide variety of kettle cooked popcorn, seasonings, cotton candy and more. This store is located in the Mediterranean Village area of Broadway at the Beach.
The Market Common
If you’re a sports fan or have sports buffs that you’re searching for a souvenir for, be sure to check out Back-Yard Sports. This store is run by a family whose passionate about both sports and savings. You’ll find your favorite teams from the NCAA, NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NASCAR and more.
Make sure to leave a little extra room in your suitcase for souvenirs from these cool new shops. Plus, when you book your Myrtle Beach vacation with Brittain Resorts & Hotels, there are over 10 oceanfront resorts to choose from within close distance to all of these major shopping outlets!
