The holiday season is around the corner and if you’re planning on staying with Brittain Resorts & Hotels during this magical time of year, there are plenty of festive things to see and do. Here are some exciting events and activities that are sure to get you in the holiday mood!

Christmas Tree Lightings
The annual tree lighting signals it’s time for the holiday season to officially commence. Watching a Christmas tree come to life is simply mesmerizing. The branches are filled with sparkling lights that creates a magical glow around the tree. Here are the Christmas tree lightings taking place around the Grand Strand:

November 17th – Barefoot Landing at 7 pm
November 17th – The Market Common at 6 pm
November 29th – Surfside Beach Town Hall at 6 pm
December 1st – Broadway at the Beach at 6 pm
December 4th – Main Street in North Myrtle Beach at 6 pm

Christmas Parades
Grab a chair and some hot chocolate as you get ready to watch floats decorated with sparkling holiday lights and marching bands make their way down the street. Candy will be given out and there will even be an appearance by Santa himself. Here are the must-see Christmas parades:

November 24th – Intracoastal Christmas Regatta starting in Little River Inlet at 5:30 pm
Watch as decorated boats float down the Intracoastal Waterway.
December 1st – Main Street in North Myrtle Beach at 5:30 pm
December 1st – Broadway at the Beach at 11 am
December 2nd – Murrells Inlet at 3 pm (Starts at Sunnyside Avenue and Hwy 17 Business)
December 8th – Surfside Beach at 2 pm on Ocean Blvd

Breakfast with Santa
Santa is taking some time out of his busy schedule enjoy a hearty breakfast before his big night on Christmas Eve. You and the kids can get a chance to dine with him and chat about everything from reindeer games to your Christmas wish list. If you’re interested in having breakfast with Santa check out:

December 15th – MarshWalk Santa Crawl
Dress in your best Santa suit and enjoy bar hopping along the waterfront in Murrells Inlet. There will be drink specials and even a prize given to the best holiday costume – so get creative!
