Christmas Parades and Holiday Lights in Myrtle Beach

It’s the most magical time of year in Myrtle Beach when the holiday season arrives. The Grand Strand takes on a warm glow as lights are twinkling and sounds of Christmas fill the air. Myrtle Beach Christmas Parades

34th Annual Intracoastal Christmas Regatta
The Saturday after Thanksgiving, on November 24th, there will be boats adorned with Christmas lights sailing down the Intracoastal Waterway. The boat parade is from 5pm to 7pm and they’ll start in the Little River Inlet and slowly travel south to Dock Holidays Marina. You’ll want to grab a chair, blankets and some hot chocolate and find a good seat to watch this much anticipated annual Christmas Regatta!

A Very Broadway Christmas
Gather the family and visit Broadway at the Beach in the heart of Myrtle Beach on Saturday, December 1st for a holiday celebration that lasts all day long! Beginning at 11am, there will be a festive holiday parade followed by kids’ facepainting and other activities from 1pm to 4pm. Stick around because at 6pm there will be an annual tree lighting ceremony and celebration with a spectacular firework show that will light up the night sky at 8 pm.

North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade
On Saturday, December 1st from 5:30pm to 7pm, Main Street in North Myrtle Beach will come alive during the annual North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade. There will be tons of floats decorated with lights, tinsel and other festive garb. The NMBHS marching band will be performing and make sure to pack something to put goodies in because those riding on the floats will be tossing out candy. The final person to make his appearance will be Santa himself, riding in style aboard a decorated float. This event is fun for the whole family!

Surfside Beach Annual Christmas Parade
The quaint town of Surfside Beach will be hosting their annual Surfside Beach Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 8th from 2pm to 3pm. Grab a chair and a blanket and find a good seat to watch the festive floats drive by. There will be marching bands performing and plenty of fun to get you in the holiday spirit. And of course Santa will be there, so make sure to have your camera ready.

Holiday Light Shows in Myrtle Beach

MarshWalk Wonderland of Lights
Make your way down south to the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, where the waterfront boardwalk has been magically transformed for the holiday season. From November 17th through December 31st, enjoy meandering along under tunnels made of sparkling lights. There will even be holiday music synced to the lights, creating an spectacular twinkling show.

The Great Christmas Light Show North Myrtle Beach
Hop in the car and head over to North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex where the park has been converted for the Great Christmas Light Show. During this drive-thru light show, you’ll make your way along a path where you’ll experience over 500 custom made light displays, enchanted animated figures and holiday scenes that are brought to life by the lights. After you’ve finished your magical journey through the sparkling and twinkling lights, make sure to visit Santa’s Village. You can sip hot chocolate, ice skate, make s’mores, pet animals in the petting zoo, take a ride on Santa’s Express Train Ride and see the lights up close, go tubing down Santa’s inflatable slide. Plus you can meet Santa himself! This is a holiday adventure that will get the whole family feeling festive!

Nights of a Thousand Candles
The sculpture gardens at Brookgreen Gardens have been transformed into a glistening wonderland every Thursday-Sunday from December 6th through December 22nd. The gardens will be glowing with over 4,500 hand-lit candles and a multitude of sparkling lights. There will be carolers singing, a nightly Christmas tree lighting, and live entertainers performing holiday music. Grab a cup of hot cider and enjoy wandering through the magical glow of Brookgreen Gardens during the infamous Nights of a Thousand Candles!
