Group Space Arrangements
THEATER
Appropriate for short lectures or larger groups that do not require extensive note-taking.
CLASSROOM
Most desirable for long lectures. For large numbers, tables will need to be rented.
BANQUET
Normally rounds of 10 or 8. Used for meals and small group discussions. 5′ round seat eight people comfortably.
U-SHAPE
A U-shape setup will help facilitate discussion with participants facing each other, but with one end open. U-shape setup is ideal for seminars and group meetings with presentations.
HOLLOW SQUARE
Appropriate for groups fewer than 40 where there is a group leader or panel seated at the head of the setup.
CONFERENCE
Conference style seating encourages audience interaction as they all face inward.
