July Events in Myrtle Beach

There’s nothing like taking a vacation in Myrtle Beach in the hot summer! Check out these exciting events you won’t want to miss that will be taking place around the Grand Strand during the month of July!

July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29: Farmers Market on Deville Street
Location: Market Common
Every Saturday during the month of July, from 10 am to 3 pm, shop local, fresh vegetables, fruits, seafood, artisan crafts, baked goods, handmade jewelry, homemade jams and jellies – and so much more!

July 5,12,19,26: Gullah Geechee Cultural Program
Location: Brookgreen Gardens
This is a 50-minute interactive program, which aims to teach and inform about the Gullah Geechee heritage and the values and qualities that make it what it is. You will get to experience first-hand insights, poetry recitations, and other demonstrations that give you an inside look at their heritage. Entrance to the program is free with garden admission.

July 1 – September 2: Summerfest
Location: Barefoot Landing
Barefoot Landing invites you to join them for an evening of shopping, dining, and live entertainment, which lasts from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The entertainment varies by night so you never know what you might stumble upon! They are planning on doing a special fireworks show on July 4th which will begin at 9:30 p.m.

July 1 – July 30: Summer Nights
Location: Broadway at the Beach
Family friendly entertainment and activities are waiting for you at Broadway! You will see acts from stilt walkers, fire dancers, acoustic performers, character appearances and more. Some evenings there are special performers and activities. On July 10th from 6-9 p.m. Parkway Baptist of Clinton, MS will be performing. July 11th will feature Daniels Chapel Baptist of Wilson, NC from 6-9 p.m. The kids will be sure to enjoy face painting and balloon tying by Hands for Christ on July 24th from 6-9 p.m.

July 1 – July 30: Music in the Courtyard Series
Location: Duplin Winery
Duplin Winery will be hosting various live music nights throughout the month of July. It’s a great way to unwind after a long day at the beach. They have an open courtyard where you can relax and have a taste of some of their custom wines. July 1 – September 28: Music On Main
Location: North Myrtle Beach Main Street
Join North Myrtle Beach for their summer concert series! From 7-9 P.M. every Thursday you can listen to the sounds of a live band on Main Street. Not only is there live music but shopping, dining, dancing and more! Admission is free and for all ages. It is suggested you bring your own beach chair.

July 4: 8th Annual Independence Day Marathon
Location: The Market Common
The Market Common will be hosting the 8th annual Independence Day marathon. The race features a 5k and 8k run and will give awards to males and females in 12 different age groups. It will run through Market Common and does require a registration fee. This event is a great way to celebrate American Independence and a love for fitness!

July 4, 11, 18, 25: Complimentary Carriage Rides
Location: Market Common
Free carriage rides will be offered everyday by Dulce Lusso salon at Market Common. The carriages will be making rounds between 6 and 9 P.M. Finish off your evening of shopping and dining with a little taste of the Charleston lifestyle!

July 7, 14, 21, 28: Movies Under the Stars
Location: Market Common
Each Friday night in July, Market Common will be hosting a complimentary movie night at Valor Park! The movie begins at dusk and they suggest you bring your own blanket or lawn chair and also the whole family! A different movie will be played each week and for the month of July you can expect to see Sing, Finding Dory, Grease, and Zootopia.

July 8: Sun Fun
Location: Myrtle Beach Speedway
Enjoy five action-packed races at the Speedway! This race series features NASCAR late models, chargers, mini-stocks, super trucks, and vintage models. The pit opens at 2 P.M. and the races begin at 7:45 P.M. This event is great for the race car enthusiast or someone who is just getting started!

July 13: Share your History at Brookgreen’s 86th Birthday
Location: Brookgreen Gardens
Brookgreen wants you to help celebrate its 86th birthday! If you have any family heirlooms, antiques, portraits, or any historical objects that relate to Georgetown plantations or Brookgreen itself, they ask you to bring them in. Brookgreen would like to photograph them and allow you the opportunity to learn more about the local history and to possibly contribute to a future exhibit. Cake will be offered in celebration!

July 14: Free Movie Night – Trolls
Location: Myrtle Beach Speedway
Head on over to the speedway to take advantage of their free movie night! It’s family friendly so pack a lawn chair and blankets. The movie begins at 7 P.M. and will be premiering Disney’s Trolls.

June 14 – August 11: Cool Summer Evenings
Location: Brookgreen Gardens
Enjoy a quiet evening at one of Myrtle Beach’s greatest treasures. Join Brookgreen for dinner at their pavilion restaurant and then stay for evening boatrides, live entertainment, and children’s activities. The entertainment is included in garden admission but boat rides do require purchase of an extra ticket.

July 20: Concert on the Green
Location: Market Common

The Ultimate Jason Aldean Tribute Band will be performing for the third Concert on the Green! The show will last from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M. and is open to the public. They invite you to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and even your pets. There will be beer, wine, snacks, and soft drinks available for purchase however, no outside coolers or drinks will be allowed.
