July is a great time of year to be in Myrtle Beach. The weather is warm and the sunny days bring everyone outside. There are tons of outdoor activities, festivals and concerts to attend. There are also plenty of kid-friendly events for families and lots of fireworks to see all month long!
July 1-31: Hot Summer Nights
June through August, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk comes to life with nightly events, concerts, contests, entertainment and more. Every Monday night from 6-9 PM is Monday Kids Carnival in Plyler Park. The carnival will have all kinds of kids’ entertainment including giant inflatables, characters, superheroes, princesses, face painting, balloon art, games and even live performances from talented children! Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday night from 8-11 PM is the Live Music Concert Series on the I Love Sugar Stage in Plyler Park. Check out free live music from all different genres like jazz, pop, reggae, Motown, beach music, R&B, country, and funk. Wednesday nights bring you even more music with DJ Jessie James, Boardwalk Elvis, and karaoke. Things end with a bang with a fireworks display at 10 PM. Feel like showing off your singing skills? Friday nights are open mic nights on the Blu Energy Stage. Saturday nights in July and August are Family Movie Nights Under the Stars with popcorn and drinks. Feel free to bring blankets and chairs and relax while you watch some of your favorite family films! Sunday nights are contemporary Christian rock concerts on the I Love Sugar Stage brought to you by Downtown Ministries and Ground Zero.
July 1-31: Summerfest! at Barefoot Landing
Barefoot Landing is bringing you fun and entertainment all Summer long with Summerfest! Along with all of the shops and restaurants Barefoot Landing has to offer, there will be live music, DJ Dance Parties, family fun nights, face painting, character appearances from mermaids, princesses, your favorite superheroes, and other entertainers to play the night away with. A fireworks show is held every Monday night over Barefoot Landing’s lake at 10:15 PM, so come on out to Barefoot Landing and celebrate Summer!
July 1-31: Complimentary Carriage Rides at the Market Common
Cruise around the Market Common by horse-drawn carriage every Tuesday night during the month of July from 6-9 pm. Riders are picked up on Howard Avenue by Dulce Lusso Salon and Tommy Bahama and taken around the entire complex. Go with family and friends for a fun ride or make a romantic Summer night out of it with your significant other.
July 10-31: Cool Summer Evenings
Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night at Brookgreen Gardens is an evening of fun at Cool Summer Evenings. Enjoy dinner at the Pavilion Restaurant and then relax on a river boat ride surrounded by the beauty of Brookgreen, or play and explore in the Enchanted Storybook Forest or make new animal friends at the park’s zoo.
July 3-31: The Boathouse Landshark Summer Concert Series
Sundays are concert days at the Boathouse! Check out free live music, get your fill of sandwiches, burgers, salads and draft beers, and take in an awesome view of the boats on the water. Scheduled artists for the series include Adelita’s Way, Edwin McCain, Collie Budz, Luke Combs and more!
