Myrtle Beach Fall Activities for Couples

Visitors flock to the Grand Strand in droves during the summertime, but more and more, Myrtle Beach is becoming a year-round destination. While the summer season still reigns superior for tourists, folks are catching on to our little secret, fall is fantastic at the beach!

With beautiful mild weather, still warm enough to enjoy the beach, but not sweltering hot, you just can’t go wrong making an autumn getaway with your special someone to Myrtle Beach. As if the great weather conditions were not enough, activities, festivals and other offerings abound in the fall season perfect for enjoying with your significant other.

So, you’re ready to plan that romantic getaway? What should you do and where should you go while here? Brittain Resorts has you covered on accommodations, so just pick one of our beautiful oceanfront properties and get booked. Another fall bonus, rates are generally lower this time of year, too! Once you have established where you’ll stay, here are some suggestions of what to do:

Duplin Winery

Sip on something sweet with your sweetheart! Centrally located in Barefoot Landing right on Highway 17 next to Alligator Adventure, Duplin Winery is the maker of America’s favorite muscadine wine. Educate yourself on their wine-making procedures, watch the bottling process, or just relax in the courtyard and sip your favorite wine selection. There is also a retail store where you can shop for wine, wine accessories and other gifts to take home. Duplin Winery is open Monday – Saturday, 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

New South Brewing

A small microbrewery located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, New South Brewing has been creating and packaging custom crafted ales and lagers for more than 20 years. The brewery gives daily tours, but only in the off season. Tours are offered to the first 50 guests and includes samples. The cost of the tour is $7 and you should arrive no later than 2:45 p.m. If you wish to join the tour. Otherwise, draft pours are available Tuesday – Friday, 4:30 – 7 p.m., Saturdays, 1 – 5 p.m., and Sundays, 12:30 – 4 p.m. New South Brewing is located at 1109 Campbell Street in Myrtle Beach. Enjoy the perfect fall air with this outdoor, autumn festival. If you don’t get enough food and drink at Oktoberfest, no worries, as the Market Common offers many dining options as well as top notch shopping.

Take a romantic spin in the focal point of the Myrtle Beach’s oceanfront landscape. The Skywheel ascends 200 feet in the air and features 42 private, climate-controlled gondolas giving the rider exquisite, panoramic views of the Myrtle Beach skyline. Amazing, birds eye views day or night, but nighttime is particularly romantic as the illuminated high rises and other city lights twinkle and dance in the night sky. Additionally, the property also includes the Landshark oceanfront restaurant and a gift shop. Located in the heart of the Downtown Myrtle Beach Boardwalk district, there are plenty of sights and sounds to take in while in the area as well. Skywheel Myrtle Beach opens at 11 a.m. seven days a week.

Of course, there are plenty of other activities for couples to enjoy anytime in the Myrtle Beach area. Take a stroll down the beach, catch a movie or one of the area’s live music or theater shows, have a romantic dinner at one of the many fine dining establishments, enjoy the relaxation of a couple’s massage at an area day spa…the options are endless. Additionally, when you book with Brittain Resorts, you may want to just stay on the property and take advantage of the various amenities offered.
