As the holiday season is approaching there are plenty of festive activities happening this month in Myrtle Beach:
November 5, 12, 19, and 26: Holiday Bazaar
Location: The Market Common
Get an early start to your Christmas shopping. From 12 pm to 4 pm every Saturday in the month of November, local artisans and vendors will set up shop along Howard Avenue and sell festive food, seasonal crafts, and live greens for décor. Think Farmers Market but with a Christmas twist.
November 6: Lip Rippin’ Chilympics Chili Cook-off
Location: Murrells Inlet
The sun isn’t the only thing heating things up in the Inlet during the 17th annual Surfrider Grand Strand Chili Cook-off competition. Local area chefs compete for the ultimate title of Chilimaster, all concocting their interpretation of a classic American seasonal favorite. There will be lots of spicy and flavor-packed chilis to sample as well as craft beer from Myrtle Beach’s local brewery New South Brewing Company to ease the spice. Go cast your vote for a good cause!
November 10 – 13: Dickens Christmas Show
Location: Myrtle Beach Convention Center
At the Dickens Christmas Show, you’re sure to find something for everyone on your Christmas list, as vendors will be selling everything from jewelry and toys to artisan crafts and gourmet food. Victorian Musicians amble about the room – full of festive trees, wreaths and tables showcasing intricate holiday displays. And be sure to keep an eye out for the jolly guy in the red suit that is sure to make an appearance!
November 10-12 and 17-19: Myrtle Beach 400
Location: Myrtle Beach Speedway
Rev your engine and race over to the Myrtle Beach Speedway for the Myrtle Beach 400. Two exciting NASCAR races, back-to-back weekends!
November 19: Christmas Tree Lighting
Location: The Market Common
Come get into the Christmas spirit at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting! This is a seasonal event for the whole family with games, food vendors, performers, and face painters. Santa will arrive at 6:20 pm and light the majestic Christmas tree in front of Grand 14 Movie Theatre. He will park his sleigh out front; ready to take photos with kids and those young at heart!
November 24: Thanksgiving Dinner at Brittain Resorts & Hotels
Location: Breakers, Compass Cove, and Ocean Reef
Come celebrate Thanksgiving with us at a few of our resorts including Breakers, Compass Cove, and Ocean Reef. Gourmet buffets, carving stations, and tables of delicious holiday desserts – these resorts will have all your holiday favorites as you enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner with a view of the ocean!
November 24: Turkey Trot Fun Runs
Location: Surfside Beach and The Market Common
If you’re looking to prep for those holiday calories that “don’t count”, there are several 5k (3.1 miles) races in the area including the Surfside Rotary Turkey Trot and Myrtle Beach Turkey Trot at The Market Common. Great way to build up that appetite before digging into your Thanksgiving feast!
November 26: Thanksgiving Weekend Fireworks Extravaganza
Location: Broadway at the Beach
Grab a cup of hot chocolate or hot apple cider and come celebrate the end of a day filled with family and food with this amazing fireworks display. Show starts at 8 pm.
November 26: Intracoastal Christmas Regatta
Location: Begins at the Little River Inlet at 5 pm and ends at Dock Holidays Marina at 7pm
After you’ve gotten your fill of turkey and sweet potato pie, grab a blanket and some hot cocoa and watch the boats set sail on the Intracoastal Waterway, decorated in Christmas décor. Twinkling lights and sounds of traditional Christmas music fill the air, bringing in the Holiday spirit at this annual festive boat parade.
