Take me out to a ballgame in Myrtle Beach

The 2017 season of the 2017 Myrtle Beach Pelicans is kicking off April 13th, with the first home game series happening April 13th through April 16th. The Pelicans play in the Carolina League and this will be the 19th season for the Pelicans franchise and 3rd season as the class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.

April 13th is the opening game and this will be an event-packed game, including country singer Jesse Rice singing the national anthem and performing during the seventh inning stretch! The opening roster features six of the Top 30 Cubs prospects and 12 players who are returning from last season’s title squad. They will be facing off against the Lynchburg Hillcats at 7:05 pm. Grab some friends and enjoy $1 12 oz. Bud & Bud Light draughts and $2 16 oz. cans from 6 pm to 8 pm. And make sure to stick around after the game for post game fireworks show – the finale that is guaranteed to light up the night sky.

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans offer plenty of exciting events to participate in throughout the season on each day of the week that they have a home games including:

Family Sundays
Ten minutes after the gates open, all fans can warm up like the players and enjoy pre-game catch for 30 minutes on the Pelican’s field.

Abuelo’s Taco Tuesday
The Mexican restaurant Abuelo’s is hosting Taco Tuesday every home game that occurs on a Tuesday, serving up their finest flavors of Mexico all game long. The tent will be located in the new Bucket Bar area.

Craft Beer Tuesday
Not only can you enjoy tacos, but also on Tuesdays, fans 21 and older can enjoy $2 12 oz. craft draughts from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Wiener Wednesday
If you love a good hot dog at the ballpark – you’ll love Wednesdays! Fans can enjoy Hebrew National Hot Dogs – buy one, get one FREE every home game that takes place on a Wednesday.

Thirsty Thursday
Come thirsty to home games on Thursdays because fans ages 21 and up can enjoy $1 12 oz. Bud & Bud Light draughts as well as $2 16 oz. cans from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Player Autograph Session
Before each home game, Monday through Saturday, fans have the opportunity to meet at home plate and get autographs from some of their favorite Pelican players for 15 minutes after the gates open.

Kids Run the Bases
Your kids don’t have to hit a home run to feel what it feels like to run the bases on the Pelican’s field. After every home game, all kids ages 12 and under have the opportunity to run around the bases on the field. Tell them to feel free to slide into home just like their favorite players do!

Military Discount
If you’ve served our great nation in the military, the Myrtle Beach Pelican’s would like to thank you and honor you by giving you $3 off the price of your baseball ticket when you show your military ID at the box office at the time of purchase.

Post-Game Firework Extravaganza
