Marty brings more than 35 years of hospitality leadership experience, with a background that is especially relevant to Brittain’s operating model. Throughout his career, he has led full-service resorts, independent and franchised hotels, vacation rental operations, condo rental programs, and HOA management platforms.
Most notably, Marty built and led a resort management company that grew to more than $40 million in annual revenue, managing approximately 2,000 rental units and 3,800 HOA-managed units. In that role, he also created the support infrastructure necessary to operate at scale, including HOA management, accounting, central reservations, sales, marketing, and creative services.
Earlier in his career, Marty helped transition a legacy Gulf-front hotel collection in Panama City Beach from a traditional hotel operation into a hybrid hotel, condo rental, and HOA management platform. That effort included the creation of an in-house rental and HOA management structure, achieving a 97% owner participation rate in the rental program, and later growing the platform by an additional 1,400 rental units and 1,950 HOA-managed units.
Marty has also served in senior leadership roles overseeing large resort and hotel portfolios, including full-service oceanfront resorts, third-party managed hotels, major renovation projects, ownership and lender relations, acquisitions and divestitures, and multi-property operational performance. His background includes leadership across operations, sales and marketing, front office, reservations, housekeeping, engineering, food and beverage, and revenue-focused strategy.
Beyond the resume, Marty’s leadership philosophy is a strong fit for where Brittain is headed. He describes his approach as consensus-building, team-oriented, and focused on creating clear goals, open communication, and the right tools for teams to succeed. That mindset will be important as we continue strengthening our operations, homeowner relationships, HOA management and coordination, guest service levels, revenue and overall financial performance.
