What will you be doing?

The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage directly supports the Director of Food & Beverage in overseeing all dining operations, ensuring exceptional service and product quality, leading team members, and performing other essential functions of the food & beverage department.  This role is ideal for candidates looking to take the next step in their food & beverage career!

Assistant Director of Food & Beverage responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a consistent presence on the floor throughout all meal periods, ensuring sufficient coverage and exceptional service
  • Ensure outlets are sufficiently staffed to meet demand and assist where needed
  • Coach, train and develop associates to meet all service standards
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all associates and guests; exceed the local requirements for inspections
  • Ensure accurate and consistent cash handling procedures are met
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, payroll, and scheduling duties as needed
  • Interview, hire, and train qualified applicants
  • Assist with any banquets, meetings and special events to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Recognize and/or reward exceptional associate performance
  • Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evening shifts and weekends.
  • Motivated self-starter with a strong level of enthusiasm.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Prior experience in food & beverage roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills to ensure guest satisfaction and uphold company service standards.
  • Ability to coach and guide associates, fostering teamwork, collaboration, responsibility, reliability, and honesty.
  • Proficiency with computers and general office PC applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
