What will you be doing?

Sea Captain’s House has been a favorite of the Grand Strand for over 60 years.  We are a high-volume, fast-paced, oceanfront restaurant with an award-winning kitchen that is looking for an experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team! As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will primarily be responsible for overseeing and supporting the back-of-house staff, ensuring smooth closing procedures, managing the prep list, and assisting the Sous Chef with closing duties.

Kitchen Supervisor responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage nighttime expo operations to ensure efficient and timely food delivery
  • Execute closing duties, including cleaning and organizing the kitchen for the next shift
  • Supervise and support hourly staff members, providing guidance and assistance as needed
  • Maintain and update the prep list to ensure adequate inventory for upcoming shifts.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef to complete closing tasks and ensure kitchen readiness for the next day
  • Continuously check ingredient quality and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages
  • Monitor kitchen operations to uphold quality standards and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain a cohesive work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

  • Prior experience in a full-service BOH supervisory role
  • High volume restaurant experience preferred
  • Exhibits a strong level of enthusiasm and a flexible approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills to ensure guest satisfaction and uphold company service standards.
  • Ability to coach and guide associates, fostering teamwork, collaboration, responsibility, reliability, and honesty.
